ORCUTT LAW:  Former client: " Another chance in life".  Credit score is "over 700 now".

John Orcutt here.  You know, I can talk until I am blue in the face, but people want to hear what other people have to say.  I understand.  I'm the same way.  Here is what one of my former clients had to say (underling added):

"Hello John,

I will try and condense this reply. While Chapter 13 can be difficult at times, God used you and your agency to help me get through some terrible times.

Seems at times when one does this, the court(s) or people who one owes and still have to pay don't want to help you out much.  But, I managed to keep my house and property.  And I was successful in completing the process.

Since completion of the program, I have seen an increase in credit score to one over 700 now. I do have two credit cards (and I use them, with 0.00 balance. I pay each month more or use enough to pay them off monthly).

Funny, no bank, loan facility or agencies like that would give me the time of day during the process, but when they find out a person has completed the bankruptcy process, here they come with credit card offers, auto loans, checks which all I have to do is deposit them, etc. Seems, they want me get back in debt. 

But, no no, been there, done that.

Chapter 13, in my case, has given me another chance in life, pretty much, like starting over again.

My Chapter 13 will come off my credit report in April 2023 and my credit score will go up much higher. But, just because one has a thing (higher credit score) doesn't mean you gotta use it. 

In a nutshell, I am much better off financially and mentally by completing the process. I am more aware of my debt and spending, staying in line with the finances I have, thanks to getting a second chance in life.

You are right, bad things do happen to good people, I'm a prime example of that.

I would recommend your office to others for sure. I also like the fact that even after the Chapter 13 is over, your office still communicates with your clients and sends supporting emails or texts.

I hope this reply will assist your agency in some way and thanks for doing what you said your office would do in this process.

Nobody regrets filing bankruptcy.
